Fatherhood is one of the most important jobs in the world. Many of the social ills in America are directly attributed to fatherlessness.
A few stats according to fatherhood.org and the US Census Bureau:
1 in 4 children live in a home w/o a dad; that’s 19.5 million kids
Children without a father living at home are 47% more likely to live in poverty and 279% more likely to carry a gun and deal drugs than their peers living with their fathers.
Similarly, fatherless children are 2x more likely to struggle with obesity, 7x more likely to become pregnant as a teen, and 2x more likely to drop out of school
92% of parents in prison are fathers.
